School Group Cruises Help Learning Come Alive On The Ohio River!

School Outings

Students experience the History of the Ohio River!

The Ohio River helped shape Cincinnati into the city it is today, serving as a vital source of transportation, commerce, culture, and everyday life throughout the region’s history. Aboard BB Riverboats, students experience the story of the river firsthand while exploring the people, industries, wildlife, and traditions connected to the waterways of Greater Cincinnati.

From river creatures and local legends to the powerful role the river played in the growth of the Queen City, students discover history in a way that feels interactive, memorable, and far more exciting than a traditional classroom. For teachers and group leaders looking for educational field trips in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, a school cruise on the Ohio River turns local history, science, and geography into a hands-on lesson.

School Events

The prom they’ll never forget!

Prom should feel unforgettable from beginning to end. Leave the gymnasium and ordinary hotel ballroom behind and celebrate aboard BB Riverboats instead. Students can enjoy dining, dancing, music, and skyline views while cruising the Ohio River in a setting that feels exciting, unique, and completely different from a traditional prom venue.

Dance the night away on our hardwood dance floors, relax on the open-air decks, and gather friends for incredible sunset and skyline photos that make the night even more memorable. For schools searching for a prom venue in Cincinnati that stands apart from the usual options, a prom cruise on the Ohio River gives students a night on the water with the city skyline as the backdrop.

Graduation Celebrations

Send off your graduates in style!

Graduation marks the end of one chapter and the start of the next, and few settings celebrate that moment quite like the Ohio River. BB Riverboats gives seniors, families, and faculty a graduation party venue in Cincinnati where the whole class can gather, share a meal, and celebrate their accomplishments with the skyline glowing in the background.

Spend the evening mingling on the open-air decks, dancing to music, and snapping group photos with the city lights behind you. It’s a send-off your graduates will be talking about long after the tassels have turned.
