Embark on a lovely spring trip featuring two days of cruising on the mighty Ohio River, with historic port stops and visits to popular Louisville attractions. This one-of-a-kind experience culminates with one of the oldest river traditions – The Kentucky Derby Great Steamboat Race! You’ll have VIP seats aboard the Belle of Cincinnati for the historic race against the Belle of Louisville.



Enjoy beautiful views and quaint river towns along with delicious meals, entertainment and top-notch service. Each day on the Belle of Cincinnati brings you a variety fun, food, a fascinating trip through a lock and dam, visits with the Captain, and magnificent sightseeing opportunities. This is truly a one-of-a-kind experience that will take you back in time as you cruise from Cincinnati to Louisville.

Cruise Schedule

Day One — Monday, April 27

Board the beautiful Belle of Cincinnati at our Newport Landing and cruise to our first shore stop, historic Aurora, IN. Continue your cruise through the Markland Lock and Dam until docking for the night in Vevay, IN. Dinner and overnight at the luxurious Belterra Casino and Resort and Spa. Aurora is a historic river town that was settled in the early 1800's and incorporated in 1845 and has strong historic connections to the Ohio River. It is full of unique and historic buildings that preserve its older river city characteristics.

Day 2 – Tuesday, April 28

After breakfast, we spend the day cruising downriver to Louisville. We dock in the late afternoon and after checking in to our hotel, head to the Derby Dinner Playhouse. A favorite for a delicious meal and top rated theatrical performance. Overnight in Louisville, KY.

Day 3 – Wednesday, April 29

After breakfast, we will spend the day visiting some of Louisville's most popular attractions and have lunch downtown. Finally, your VIP seats await on board the Belle of Cincinnati for The Great Steamboat Race where a delicious dinner and boat race shenanigans abound. After the conclusion of the race, we will return to our starting point in Newport, KY via deluxe motor coach.
